About 20 minutes away from The Strip is The Lion Habitat Ranch, a wildlife sanctuary that gives visitors an up-close look at lions. In addition to lions, you can also see exotic birds, like ostriches, emus, and parrots, and Ozzie, “the Painting Giraffe.”

The Lion Habitat Ranch has been a sanctuary for wild lions here in Las Vegas since 1989. When you visit the sanctuary, you’ll see the lions in their habitats playing, eating, sleeping, and relaxing. You’ll also meet Ozzie, the only giraffe in Nevada. Ozzie loves to paint with his tongue and his canvas creations can be purchased as souvenirs to take home.

As you explore the property, tour guides will teach you about the various animals that live on the ranch, their efforts towards lion and giraffe conservation, and how everyone can get involved.
